Who runs this?
Prominence is small and independent. When you email support@tryprominence.com, the person who builds the product answers.
What has Prominence sent to a real Google listing so far?
A phone number change and Google posts, including one with a link to the website, have run on a real listing. A category change was sent and Google declined it. Changes to hours, address, website and services sent with the Approve button are built and have not yet run on a real listing.
Does anyone actually ask ChatGPT for a local business?
Open ChatGPT, ask for the best one in your town, and see who it names. 45% of US adults used ChatGPT or another AI tool for local business recommendations, up from 6% a year earlier (BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey 2026, 1,002 US adults). Google and Facebook are still ahead.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You give us your business name. On Pro with Google connected, you approve a Google fix with one tap and we send it; everything else comes as exact text to paste in. Nothing to install. Connecting Google is optional.
I’m not the owner, or I don’t have our Google login.
You can still use it: without a Google connection every fix comes as exact text, for whoever holds the login to paste in, and Core never needs one. To have Pro send fixes to Google, connect an account that is an Owner or Manager of the listing; the owner can add you as a Manager in Google Business Profile.
My agency already does SEO. Why this?
SEO is about ranking in Google’s links; AI picks from the pages it reads. We do the AI part for $49 or $99 a month, show every fix before it goes out, and prove it with Google’s own numbers. Keep the agency if it earns its place.
I already use a tool that tracks AI. Why this?
A tracker shows you what AI says. Prominence also writes the fix, sends it to your Google listing on your yes, and checks at the next scan that AI’s answer changed. How we compare with an AI tracker.
Why not just build backlinks?
Links still matter for Google’s normal results. For AI answers, being named on the pages AI reads matters more: in Whitespark’s Local Search Ranking Factors 2026, a survey of 47 local search experts, links rank 29th for AI visibility.
What if Google turns a change down?
Google reviews changes and can decline them. If Google rejects a change when we send it, your fix card does not say it was sent to your Google listing. If Google takes it and declines it later, the next scan still finds the old answer, so the fix is not marked verified. You can always make the change yourself in your Google Business Profile.
